An Edgewater woman was struck by a car and killed in Volusia County Saturday, accordin to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Erica Johnson, 33, was heading westbound on U.S. 92 and struck the back of another car, which had become disabled in the right westbound lane.

The driver of the disabled car, 59-year-old Kathy Hayes, was standing in front her Hyundai when Johnson plowed into the back of it, troopers said.
