Algoma, WI : Two people injured in crash near Algoma on Sunday, January 29, 2017

A one-vehicle crash about 7 p.m. Sunday near Algoma injured two people, according to information from the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department.

The driver, a 23-year-old Green Bay man, was allegedly driving erratically, said Sheriff Matt Joski. The vehicle veered off the road on Kewaunee County D about 600 feet north of Sixth Road in the town of Pierce, south of Algoma, and rolled over, Joski said. The driver was thrown from the vehicle, he said.

A passenger, a 22-year-old Green Bay woman, also was injured in the crash. Both people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken by ambulance to a Green Bay hospital, Joski said.

The crash remains under investigation and more information will be released later today, Joski said.
