Anamosa, IA : 2 fatally injured in Jones County collision on Sunday, December 18, 2016

Authorities say two people were fatally injured during a collision in eastern Iowa’s Jones County.

The accident occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 151, just south-southwest of Anamosa. The Iowa Highway Patrol says a sport utility vehicle slid through a stop sign and was struck by a semitrailer that was headed south on the highway.

The names of those killed and injured have not been released.
