Augusta, GA : Fatal accident along US 78, outside of Aiken on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018

Authorities are investigating a fatal accident in which a pedestrian was struck along U.S. 78 outside of Aiken on Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 8:07 p.m., according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian, who has not been named, was attempting to cross the roadway when struck by Gary Power, of Aiken, who was driving a 2015 Ford pickup, a news release from the agency states.
