Motorcyclist Killed After Running Red Light In Atlanta

The accident happened at about 11:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Wells Street and Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta.
Police said Riley Gardner Jr., 29, of Austell, attempted to cross the intersection on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle while the traffic light was red. Authorities said he collided with a Dodge Charger.
Investigators said Gardner struck the Charger on the driver's -side door. Gardner suffered internal injuries and died at the scene.
I believe the victim was a member of one of our local motorcycle clubs," said Maj. Robert Browning with the Atlanta Police Department.
Authorities said they don’t anticipate charges in the accident.
