SUNSET, UT : 3 injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-15 in Sunset on Friday, 10th May 2024

Three people were seriously injured when their car hit a semitruck and ran into a barrier on I-15 Friday afternoon.

A Honda CR-V attempted to take the freeway off-ramp about 1 p.m. at 5600 South in Sunset, but at the last second, the driver switched back into the main travel lane, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.

The CR-V hit a semitruck and bounced off the truck and into a barrier, said UHP Cpl Luis Silva. The barrier was dislodged and a Nissan hit the barrier.

Three occupants in the CR-V were transported to the hospital in "serious" condition, Silva said. No other injuries were reported.
