Three people were injured in a crash on Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City on Monday night.
It happened around 7 p.m., when a Honda Accord, driven by 24-year-old Ryan Brauner of Bonnots Mill, crossed into the westbound lanes, crashing into a Mazda CX-9 driven by 67-year-old Frank Ovaitt.
Both Ovaitt and his passenger, 57-year-old Ruth Ovaitt, were taken to a local hospital.
Fire and EMS crews had to cut the woman out of the vehicle.
Brauner was taken to a local hospital, and later transferred to University Hospital for further treatment.
He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Traffic was down to two lanes for 45 minutes while crews treated the occupants.
The Jefferson City Police Department is investigating the crash.
