KNIGHTSEN, CA : Male dies in fatal Knightsen collision on Wednesday, January, 17th 2018

A male who appeared to be standing in a roadway was killed when a vehicle struck him, the California Highway Patrol said Wednesday.

At 7:38 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Delta Road and Curlew Connex for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian, CHP Officer Damian Johnston said.

Oakley police also responded to the scene, but CHP officers learned the male was struck and suffered fatal injuries at the scene, Johnston said.

No word was immediately available on any related road closures.
