WORCESTER, VT : Morrisville man injured in head-on crash on Friday, December 16th 2016
Vermont State Police say a Morrisville man suffered incapacitating injuries in a head-on crash in Worcester Friday morning.
Police say Tyler Gomes, 26, was driving on Elmore Road when he crossed the center line and hit Stephanie Cooke, 24, of Northfield. Police say Cooke was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin for minor injuries, but Gomes was trapped in his vehicle.
Police say rescue crews were able to get Gomes out of the vehicle and take him to Central Vermont Medical Center where he was then transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington for treatment for his injuries.
Police didn’t say what injuries Gomes suffered. The crash is still under investigation and police say the road was covered in snow and ice.
