Shenandoah, IA :2 injured, 1 critically, in SW Iowa pickup crash on Friday, July 10th 2015

Two people were injured, one critically, early Friday in a pickup truck crash northwest of Shenandoah, Iowa.The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said Jimmie.Hockett, 63, of Shenandoah, a passenger in the 2004 Dodge Dakota, was taken by medical helicopter to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha with undisclosed critical injuries. The driver, Jamie Stockwell, 34, of Riverton, was taken to Shenandoah Medical Center with minor injuries.The Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred about 2:50 a.m. near the intersection of 190th Street and U.S. Highway 59.Authorities said the pickup was westbound on 190th Street when it crossed the center line and entered the south ditch. The truck then entered a creek and struck a tree, coming to rest on the driver’s side of the pickup, the Sheriff’s Office said. The men had to be cut free of the vehicle.
