SHERIDAN, NY : Details released in Route 20 crash on Wednesday, November, 29th 2017
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has released further details in Wednesday night’s accident.
According to deputies, around 6:45 p.m. it appears Johnathon Eddings, 25, of Sheridan, was driving in Route 20 in the town of Sheridan with passenger Brian Nowak, 31, of Fredonia when he crossed the center line and collided into a vehicle driven by Nicholas Coppola IV. Coppola had three passengers in his vehicle: Faith Bunnell, 33, of Silver Creek, and two unidentified female youths.
Eddings and Nowak were flown from the scene by helicopter for medical treatment of serious injuries. All other parties were transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment of apparent minor injuries.
Accident reconstruction was called to the scene to assist with the investigation. The accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.
Along with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, other agencies responded included the New York State Police, ALSTAR, and the Sheridan, Fredonia and Silver Creek fire departments.
