LEHIGH ACRES, FL : Authorities responding to vehicle crashed into Lehigh Acres canal on Thursday, 25th March 2021

A 54-year-old Lehigh Acres man suffered critical injuries after crashing into a canal on Thursday night.Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene just after 10 p.m. on Thursday. When a trooper arrived on scene, they saw an SUV submerged in a canal off of Sunshine Boulevard North near Alice Place.

According to an LCSO sergeant on the scene, three deputies went into the water to rescue someone.
