San Antonio, TX : Driver faces charges in fatal Southwest Side rollover on April, Monday 17th 2017

A driver who fled the scene of a Southwest Side rollover Monday evening is facing charges in his passenger’s death.
Esteban Delacruz, 29, is still recovering in a hospital from his injuries but was booked by proxy Tuesday for intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid, a San Antonio Police Department report said.
Martin Cruz Jr., 34, of Houston, was identified as the passenger killed in the rollover, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.Witnesses saw Delacruz climbing out of the driver’s seat and running away from the scene.
Police said a few witnesses followed him to Somerset and Palo Alto roads where officers caught up to him.
Cruz was pronounced dead at the scene and had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters, police said.
