WESSINGTON, SD : A 25-year-old Wessington man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, October, 29th 2017

A 25-year-old Wessington man was killed in a two-vehicle accident eight miles east of Wessington Sunday afternoon.
The 1992 Chevrolet C1500 pickup driven by Jeffrey Airheart was westbound on Highway 14 when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2009 F-150 pickup.
Airheart was taken by ambulance to Huron Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital where he later died of his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The name of the other driver, a 28-year-old male, has not been released. He had minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The Highway Patrol is investigating. Other agencies on scene were the Beadle County Sheriff’s Office, Wolsey Fire and Ambulance and Wessington Fire and Ambulance.
