Mendon, VT : Two children injured, Mom accused of DUI in crash on Route 4 East, near Wheelerville Road on Monday, December 21, 2015

Police say a Rutland woman was driving under the influence of drugs when she totaled her car and injured herself and children.

Troopers say Chrystal Cioffi, 25, crashed her car on Route 4 East, near Wheelerville Road in Mendon at about 8 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses say Cioffi's vehicle was driving significantly under the speed limit and drifting off the road.

Cioffi and the children were all transported to Rutland Regional Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
