Coeur d'Alene, ID : An injury crash on Saturday, October, 21st 2017
An injury crash occurred at milepost 30 on Interstate 90 on the east side of Fourth of July Pass east of Coeur d'Alene just before noon Saturday.
Idaho State Police reported Wayne W. Weber, 60, of Roundup, Mont., was traveling eastbound in a white 2015 Freightliner tractor, pulling a white 2005 Utility trailer carrying apples but traveling too fast to safely negotiate a curve.
The tractor and trailer overturned onto the center median barrier, coming to rest on the driver's side.
A 2016 Subary Impreza driven by Dana R. Lewin, 26, of Portland, Ore., was traveling west and was struck by the apples that were being hauled by Weber.
Lewin was not injured and Weber had only minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital. All parties involved were wearing safety belts.
One lane of I-90 was blocked in each direction during the crash and subsequent clean-up, which took several hours.
