TRINITY COUNTY, CA : Driver killed in single-vehicle collision near Trinity River on Monday, 16th November, 2020

One person is dead after a single-vehicle collision Monday near the Trinity River.

Monday, the CHP said a driver in a 2000 Ford was headed northbound on State Route 3 in the northbound lane just south of Deerlick Springs Road, when for unknown reasons, the driver traveled off the edge of the road. The driver traveled down the embankment and overturned.

The CHP said the driver was not wearing his seatbelt and was fully ejected from his vehicle. After the collision, the vehicle came to a rest, overturned on its right side and the driver was located nearby the vehicle. CHP said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
