Cortez, CO : Two people injured in a rollover crash U.S. 160 east of Mancos on Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017

A rollover crash a few miles east of the La Plata-Montezuma county line on U.S. Highway 160 sent two people to Mercy Medical Center in Durango on Tuesday afternoon, Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said on Wednesday morning.

About 3:30 p.m., a 2008 Dodge hatchback rolled over near mile marker 65 on the highway, about 3 miles east of Mancos Hill, according to Lewis. The driver of the car, an 80-year-old man from Cortez, and a passenger were transported to Mercy, Lewis said. He did not provide details on their identification or injuries.

Though a cause of the crash had not been determined, roads were slick at the time of the crash, Lewis said. No drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash.

Only one vehicle was involved in the crash, and a tow truck was called fairly quickly, Lewis said. Crews cleared the scene by about 5:30 p.m., he said.
