An adult and a child were killed Tuesday in a fiery, two-vehicle crash in Egg Harbor Township, according to authorities.
The wreck took place on English Creek Avenue, between Schoolhouse Road and Buckingham Drive, at 12:14 p.m., township police Lt. Michael Finnerty said.
The adult and child were traveling south in a Kia Soul that collided with a northbound Cadillac CTS, causing the Kia to overturn and catch fire, according to police.
“Upon patrol arrival, the Kia Soul was fully engulfed in flames with two occupants trapped inside,” police said in a statement.
Both occupants of the Kia died at the scene, authorities said. The Cadillac driver was taken an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
