Oklahoma , OK :OHP responds to a wrong way crash on the turnpike along I-44 on Sunday , June 14th 2015

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is responding to a head-on collision that occurred on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44.The accident occurred on I-44 around mile marker 96 between Oklahoma City and Lawton.Authorities say that an SUV was going west on the eastbound lanes of the interstate when it collided head-on with a semi. The driver of the SUV was trapped inside the vehicle when emergency crews arrived but has been freed. She's been transported to a hospital in Oklahoma City and is listed in critical condition.The driver and passenger inside the semi were not injured.No names have been released and authorities are still on the scene investigating the accident.Stay connected with OKCFOX.com for updates on this story throughout the night.
