Cody, WY : One injured in two-vehicle accident on Tuesday morning, January 24, 2017

A Powell woman sustained life threatening injuries following a crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of Road 18 and US 14A.

The crash happened around 8 a.m., when Nina Kendrick, 34, pulled out from the stop sign and turned in front of an oncoming pickup truck going east, according to the WHP accident report. The truck was driven by Nathan Nesbitt, 23, of Cody and the 2017 Ram 2500 is owned by Fremont Motors.

The car Kendrick was driving, a 2000 Audi A4, was hit on the driver’s side door by the pickup truck. She was wearing a seat belt.

Kendrick was initially transported to the Powell Valley Hospital and later taken to Billings, Mont., for further treatment. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, she suffered severe injuries in the crash.

Nesbitt was also wearing a seat belt. He was not injured in the crash.
