Homewood , AL : one person was injured after a big rig slammed into an SUV on Friday, November 28th 2014

At least one person was injured when a big rig slammed into an SUV Friday. The collision happened about 9:30 a.m. on Oxmoor Road in Homewood. It appears the driver of a white SUV attempted to turn onto Oxmoor Road, but apparently turned into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler truck. The crash apparently spun the SUV around, and reportedly trapped the driver inside. Homewood Fire crews used equipment to cut the doors from the SUV, and remove the injured person. The victim was taken by ambulance to get medical treatment. The big rig driver apparently was not injured.
