The Colorado State Patrol says a motorcyclist was killed in a crash after he tried to outrun a trooper in Colorado Springs.
The Gazette reports the trooper was trying to pull 28-year-old Justin Aspuria over for going 101 mph on Interstate 25 on Tuesday morning. The Colorado Springs man tried to exit the highway after the trooper turned on his emergency lights, but he crashed into a road sign.
Aspuria, who died at a hospital, was wearing a helmet. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
