Camarillo, CA : 1 taken to hospital in crash between Oxnard and Camarillo on Friday, 12th August, 2016

Major injuries were reported in a traffic accident Friday between Camarillo and Oxnard, officials said.

The incident was reported about 6:30 a.m. near Laguna Road and South Las Posas Road and involved a car and a tractor, according to the California Highway Patrol. The car's front end was reportedly under the tractor, the patrol said.

Crews with the Ventura County Fire Department responded and found one person trapped in the car, officials said. The person was freed and taken to Ventura County Medical Center, authorities said.

Patrol officials said the incident was a major injury crash.
