Authorities say two drivers were hurt when a pickup driving the wrong way on K-96 hit a car head-on.

The crash happened at around 8:30 a.m. Friday near Hillside in northeast Wichita. The Kansas Highway Patrol says an eastbound Dodge pickup went into the median, through the cable barrier and into the westbound lanes where it side-swiped a Volvo, then struck a Hyundai Sonata.

The patrol's crash log states the 31-year-old man driving the Dodge suffered a suspected medical condition before he drove across the median. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 22-year-old woman driving the Hyundai was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
