Nashville, TN : Two drivers injured in head-on collision in Smyrna on Wednesday morning, June 22, 2016

Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision in Smyrna on Wednesday morning.

The wreck, which happened on Sam Ridley Parkway at Lowry Street, shut down traffic for over two hours.

Police said one of the vehicles crossed the median and hit the other head-on.

Both drivers were extricated and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they remain in critical condition.
