MACEDON, NY : One man died following a motor vehicle accident on April, Saturday 15th 2017

One man died following a motor vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in this Wayne County town.

Donald Kneeland, 83, address unavailable, was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. Kneeland was crossing Route 31 to Wilson Road from a local shopping plaza when a vehicle driven by Thomas Hutchison, 49, address unavailable, hit him.

Police said Hutchison, who was traveling westbound on Route 31, had the right of way and was unable to brake in time to avoid the collision.

The South Macedon and Macedon Center fire departments, along with Macedon Town Ambulance, assisted deputies at the scene.
