Ellicott, CO : One person killed in crash Highway 94 and Ellicott on Friday November 6 2015
Colorado State Patrol has released the name of a man who died in a crash in Ellicott Friday.He was Kyle Dunbar, 26, of Rush.
The crash happened at around 6:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Highway 94 and Ellicott Highway.
State Patrol says Dunbar was driving westbound on Highway 94 in a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck when Cassandra Griffin, 24, of Colorado Springs ran a stop sign.
Griffin was northbound on Ellicott Highway in a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The front of the jeep crashed into the left side of the pickup truck. The pickup rolled and was pushed into a building. No one in the building was hurt.
Dunbar was wearing a seat belt, but died at the scene.
Griffin was wearing a seatbelt. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Griffin's passenger, Russell Shaw, 25, was taken to Memorial with serious to moderate injuries.
Highway 94 was closed for about three hours following the accident.
State Patrol says charges against Griffin are pending.
