INDIANAPOLIS, IN : A bicyclist was critically hurt after a crash on Tuesday, June 27, 2017

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say a bicyclist was critically hurt after a crash with a car on the city's southwest side late Tuesday.

The crash happened on Kentucky Avenue near Rybolt Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

Police say that witnesses told them the man on the bike rode out in front of a car on Kentucky and was hit.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

IMPD says that the man on the bike went to the Eskenazi Hospital with critical injuries, including broken bones.
