CHARLESTON, WV : Elderly woman dead after Kanawha City crash on Friday, 23rd May 2024

An elderly woman died Friday after a one-vehicle crash in Kanawha City, according to the Charleston Police Department.
Wilma Ellis, 82, of Charleston, was the victim, police said.
Officials say the crash happened just after 2:50 p.m. at 35th Street and MacCorkle Avenue (state Route 61).
Police say Ellis was headed south on 35th Street toward MacCorkle Avenue when the crash happened.
The victim was taken to CAMC Memorial where she died.
