Memphis, TN : Car Crashes And Lands On Top Of 3 Parked Cars at apartment complex on Thursday morning, November 20, 2014
No one was seriously injured after a car crashed and landed on top of other vehicles at an East Memphis apartment complex just after midnight.
Witnesses believe two people were inside the Chevy sedan when it went over the hill between Poplar Place Apartments and Kroger, landing on the cars below and missing the closest apartment building by about 10 feet.
A Buick Enclave SUV, a red Chevrolet Cavalier, and a Mitsubishi Mirage were all damaged.
The female driver was taken to a nearby hospital in non-critical condition. Her passenger did not appear to be hurt and stayed on the scene as apartment residents took a look at the damage.
No one wanted to talk on camera, but WMC crews heard one woman say she had no idea how she was going to get to work in the morning.
Witnesses mentioned the driver may have been speeding or may have hit something on the hill, causing the crash below.
Police investigators have not said if that's what happened or if the driver will be cited.
