Omaha, NE : 85-year-old woman serious injuries after a car crash near Omaha Marian High School on Wednesday night, January 6, 2016

An 85-year-old woman is in serious condition Wednesday night after a car crash near Omaha Marian High School, Omaha police confirmed.

The crash was reported around 8:40 p.m. near 72nd Street and Ames Avenue.

Omaha police told KETV NewsWatch 7 the woman was driving the wrong direction on Ames Avenue and struck a car nearly head-on. A third car was involved in the crash, but no one was injured except for the elderly woman, who was transported soon after to Nebraska Medical Center for treatment for a head injury.
