Everett, WA : Two people, including a Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputy injured after a crash on Saturday afternoon, February 4, 2017
Two people, including a Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputy, were taken to the hospital after a crash Saturday afternoon.
Just before 12:30 p.m., a deputy’s vehicle and another car collided at the intersection of 112th Street SW and Fourth Avenue W, said Lt. Scott Robertson with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy’s vehicle reportedly was struck while passing through the intersection. The lights and siren were on, Robertson said.
The deputy was responding to a disturbance call near Evergreen Way and Holly Drive.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital for evaluations. The deputy’s airbag deployed but he has not reported any injuries, Robertson said. The driver of the other vehicle reported minor injuries.
The crash is being investigated by the sheriff’s office collisions investigation unit. The intersection is expected to be closed for a while and drivers should expect delays.
Names and ages of the deputy and the other driver were not immediately available.
