WALLINGFORD, CT : Car crashes through nail salon window in Wallingford on Thursday, 14th March 2019

An 86-year-Wallingford resident accidentally drove his pickup truck through the front of an East Center Street nail salon Thursday morning, according to police.
Lt. Cheryl Bradley, a Wallingford police spokeswoman, said officers were called to Sun Nails at 826 E. Center St. shortly after 10:30 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, the officers found the front end of a white pickup truck driven by Edward Marotto had crashed through the front entrance of the salon.Bradley said Marotto told police his foot accidentally slipped off the brake as he pulled the truck into a parking space in front of the salon. Neither Marotto nor two salon employees who were at the rear of the business when the crash occurred were injured, police said.
