Baker ,OR: Boise man dies in rollover crash on I-84, alcohol may be a factor on Saturday morning ,July 4th 2015
Investigators say alcohol may have been a factor in a deadly rollover crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 84 near Durkee, Oregon.
Officials said Enrique Jiminez, 64, of Boise was heading west on I-84 in his Hyundai Accent when he started to pass a Fort Ranger pickup near milepost 327.
He swerved into the pickup around 1:30 a.m., causing both drivers to lose control of their vehicles.
The Hyundai went into a roll and Jiminez was thrown from his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup’s driver, Taylor Grove, 24, of Phoenix, Arizona, was not hurt in the crash.
Investigators said they suspect Jiminez may have been drinking, and said that may have been a factor in the crash. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time.
