Two people died in separate traffic collisions in Brunswick County within about 48 hours of each other.
David Robinson of Coastline Volunteer Rescue Squad said both crashes happened around 8 p.m.
The first crash happened Jan. 31 when 36-year-old Elliott Ramose Donate of Puerto Rico was driving south in a white Honda Civic in the 2000 block of Oxpen Road. Robinson said Donate ran off the road before over-correcting and crossing the center line, striking a woman driving a four-door passenger car.
