Huntersville ,NC : Two people accused of breaking into a home and then crashing car while trying to get away on Monday night ,march 9th 2015

Huntersville police said two people were in custody Monday night, accused of breaking into a home and then crashing a car while trying to get away.

A witness told Channel 9 the two people tried to run from the crash scene on Neck Road, off Beatties Ford Road, in Huntersville. Nick Duncan said he saw three young men running and another man chasing them asking for help.

“I didn’t really know what to do, so I did a U-turn and went after them and several other cars behind me did too,” said Duncan.

Duncan said he saw two of the men stop and talk to someone in a car, and the third ran off into the woods.

Police would only confirm they have two people in custody, and their names have not been released.
