Carson, N.D : Motorcycle driver killed when struck by SUV near Carson on Friday, April 22, 2016

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 65-year-old man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a 77-year-old woman driving an SUV.

The accident happened at 1:54 p.m. Friday about a mile west of Carson. The patrol says the two vehicles were negotiating a curve when the SUV struck the motorcycle in a "head-on, sideswipe motion."

The name of the victim has not been released.

The driver of the SUV and her two occupants were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Elgin. Their conditions are not known.
