TRAVERSE CITY, MI : A Traverse City man died in a rollover crash along Silver Lake Road on Sunday, August 27, 2017

A Traverse City man died in a rollover crash along Silver Lake Road.

Munson Medical Center doctors pronounced Joel Christopher Chambers, 34, deceased early, authorities said. Emergency personnel took him to the hospital from the scene of a crash on Silver Lake Road near Silver Farms Lane.

The crash was reported at about 1:00 a.m. Grand Traverse County sheriff's deputies responded and believe Chambers ran a Honda Fit off the road while driving south through a curve. Chambers was thrown from the vehicle and was the only person inside.
