Reading, PA : Four people injured in two-vehicle accident in Richmond Township on Thursday night, January 5, 2017

A two-vehicle accident Thursday night in Richmond Township left four people injured, including two children, police said.

According to Fleetwood police, who also patrol the township:
Crews were dispatched to the 2600 block of Moselem Springs Road about 7:15 p.m.

The accident occurred when a car driven by Maria Tucci, 28, of Fleetwood entered the opposing lane of traffic.
Tucci's vehicle collided head-on with a minivan driven by Patricia Strunk, 63, of Fleetwood.
Tucci and Strunk were both trapped in their vehicles and had to be freed by personnel from the Fleetwood and Walnuttown fire companies.
Tucci and two juvenile passengers were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown, where she was in stable condition Thursday night, a hospital spokesman said.
The condition of the children could not be determined.
Strunk was taken to Reading Hospital, where she was still being evaluated late Thursday night, a spokeswoman said.
Moselem Springs Road was closed between Fleetwood and Scheiry Road for about two hours.
The accident remains under investigation.
