Lynn, MA : 3-year-old boy injured after being struck by car in Massachusetts on Wednesday, Sep 2, 2015

Authorities say a 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was struck by a car in Massachusetts.

Officials say the child was hit at the intersection of Western Avenue and Franklin Street in Lynn at around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the driver was turning onto Franklin Street when the boy got away from his older brother and ran into traffic.

Lt. Glenn Dunnigan told The Daily Item that the boy went under the car but was not pinned.

He suffered a broken leg and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
