West Seattle, WA : 2 people seriously injured in car crash in the 6700 block of Sylvan Way Southwest on Wednesday, 26th December 2018
Seattle Police Department said it plans to arrest a woman who may have caused a collision in West Seattle on Wednesday that left her passenger in critical condition. She was hospitalized following the crash.
The 33-year-old woman was driving north in the 6700 block of Sylvan Way Southwest at 7:50 a.m. when her vehicle crossed the centerline and hit the front of a pickup truck driven by a 38-year-old man, according a Seattle police blotter post. Two people were trapped in their cars, but one managed to get out and the other was extricated by Seattle Fire Department, said Hilton Almond, a spokesperson for the department.All three people were taken to Harborview Medical Center. The woman’s passenger, whom Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg identified as a 39-year-old man, is in critical condition. The two drivers are in satisfactory condition, Gregg said Wednesday afternoon.
The woman showed signs of impairment, according to police. After she is released from the hospital, she will be booked into King County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault, according to police.
