Deadly crash killed a man near Swan Road

Tucson police are investigating a deadly accident in which a man in a wheelchair was reportedly hit by a pickup truck.

TPD Sgt. Chris Widmer said the man was taken from the scene near Swan Road and Cecelia Street to a hospital where he later died.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

Detectives are still investigating, but they said it appears the man was crossing the street around 10:30 a.m. when he was hit on northbound Swan Road.
