Authorities say a Wellford man has died after he was hit by a car in Spartanburg County.
The Highway Patrol tells local media outlets that 20-year-old Kahlid Dequane Alexander was hit by a vehicle while walking on Howell Road at around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Troopers say Alexander was in the road when he was struck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol and the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office are still investigating the crash. Authorities say the person driving the 2007 GMC SUV was not injured.
