PORTLAND, ME : Man injured after car crashes into pole in Portland on Sunday, October 8, 2017

A man is recovering after crashing his car into a pole on Forest Avenue early Sunday morning, police said.

Police told WMTW News 8 it happened near the fire department and Riverton Elementary School.

The victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to the hospital.

Police are investigating the crash.
