SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FL : 2 hospitalized after garbage truck crashes into tree in SW Miami-Dade on Friday, 7th June 2024

Rescue crews took two people to the hospital after a garbage truck crashed into a tree in Southwest Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the crash near Southwest 104th Street and Hammocks Boulevard, just after 1:30 p.m., Friday.

Investigators said the vehicle veered off the road and slammed into the tree head on.

Upon arrival, crews extricated the two men who were trapped inside the truck.
