BENSON, MN : One injured in crash with semi near Benson on April, Wednesday 12th 2017
A Benson man was injured Wednesday night when his vehicle collided with a semi.
According to the State Patrol, the accident happened around 7:14 p.m. on state Highway 9 and Swift County Road 31, east of Benson.
A 2002 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Anthony Daniel Klucas, 47, was going north on County Road 31, failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2015 Peterbuilt semi driven by Dale Mark Theiler, 53, of Swanville, that was traveling east on Highway 9.
Klucas was taken to the Swift County-Benson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Theiler was not injured.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash and alcohol was detected in the driver of the Blazer, according to the State Patrol report.
The Swift County Sheriff's Department and Benson Police Department assisted at the scene.
