PARIS, MO : Single-vehicle crash south of Paris injures woman on Wednesday, January 4th 2017

A Wednesday afternoon crash in Monroe County injured a Paris woman.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2012 Chevrolet truck driven by Brenda J. Smith, 69, of Paris, was traveling north on Mo. 15 a mile south of Paris when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road, crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road. The crash occurred at 4:03 p.m.

Smith, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Randolph County Ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Mexico, Mo., with minor injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, the Paris Fire Department and Randolph County Ambulance.
