WEBER CANYON, UT : 1 dead in motorcycle fatal crash in Weber Canyon on Saturday, 15th July 2023

One person is dead after a crash near Weber Canyon involving a motorcycle on Saturday, July 15, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

A motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on I-84 when officials say the motorcycle “was unable to maintain its lane through a curve” and entered the adjacent lane. The motorcycle collided with a Porsche driving eastbound in the lane. The motorcyclist was thrown off their bike upon impact and died from their injuries.

Both directions of I-84 were closed at US-89 due to the fatal crash, according to officials. It has since been opened.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
