GASTONIA, NC : Deadly pedestrian-involved crash reported in Gastonia on Saturday, 10th February 2024

The Gastonia Police Department said a deadly pedestrian-involved crash shut down part of a major road Saturday evening.

Officers said it happened along North Chester Street, also known as North US-321, just north of the intersection with Bulb Avenue and Tulip Drive. A stretch of the road from that intersection up to C. Grier Beam Boulevard had to be shut down for an extended period as the department investigated what happened.
